Darius founded Matiq Labs after more than a decade working inside schools and districts — as a teacher, special education administrator, and director of learning and impact. He has seen firsthand how educational systems can sideline the very people they were built to serve: students, families, and the educators working closest to them.

Matiq Labs was built on a conviction that lasting change in education doesn’t come from the outside in. It comes from designing new systems alongside the people already living inside them. That means educators who feel ownership over their practice, students whose voices shape their learning, and communities whose knowledge is treated as essential, not incidental.
